Again with the life drawings
Here is yet another Life IV homework piece. The assignment: create a costumed figure.
The Result: I wanted to try working on exposed wood panel, working ink, oil glazes and varnish over it. I think it had an interesting effect. You really need to see it in person to get the effect of the shiny, shiny varnish.

Attempts at Alla Prima
This triptych was created for my final project for my Illustration Life Drawing 4 class. Our only direction was that it be figural, so here it is:
I wanted to try my hand at some alla prima painting (I have a class in it next semester, and want to have some experience going into it). It's a bit of a tribute to Phil Hale, and Ashley Wood; Enjoy.
